Notice of Change in Osaka Prefecture Accommodation Tax

Please be informed that the Osaka Prefecture accommodation tax will be revised effective September 1, 2025 (Monday).
The revised tax will apply to stays from September 1, 2025, regardless of the date of booking or payment.

Before Revision [Until August 31, 2025]
Room rate (per person per night) ¥7,000 – under ¥15,000 → ¥100
Room rate (per person per night) ¥15,000 – under ¥20,000 → ¥200
Room rate (per person per night) ¥20,000 or more → ¥300

After Revision [From September 1, 2025]
Room rate (per person per night) ¥5,000 – under ¥15,000 → ¥200
Room rate (per person per night) ¥15,000 – under ¥20,000 → ¥400
Room rate (per person per night) ¥20,000 or more → ¥500

※About Room Rates

Included in the taxable room rate:
・Room charge (without meals)
・Service charges related to the room charge

Not included in the taxable room rate:
・Consumption taxes and other public taxes (e.g., VAT, local consumption tax, bathing tax)
・Charges for services other than accommodation (e.g., meal coupons, merchandise, use of hotel facilities)
